Nigeria’s Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, CFA, will deliver the keynote address at DataPro’s 6th International Rating Webinar.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite, a distinguished economist and public policy professional with extensive experience in economic management, investment and trade, will speak on the theme: “Achieving Investment Grade Rating By 2030: The Roadmap For Nigeria.”
Organizers said her session will outline the policy, institutional and economic reforms required to strengthen sovereign credit profiles across Africa.
The Minister previously served as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment and later as Minister of State for Finance.
The webinar, which will bring together policymakers, investors and rating experts, is expected to provide actionable intelligence on sovereign credibility, institutional governance and macroeconomic policy as Africa navigates the global capital market.
Other speakers lined up for the event include Oluwakemi Babalogbon, Executive Director, Risk Management, Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI); Dr. Misheck Mutize, Lead Expert, Credit Rating Agencies, African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM); Dr. Daniel Cash, Founder, Credit Rating Research Initiative; Prof. Kai Gehring, Professor of Political Economy, University of Bern; and Prof. Dr. Torsten Schmidt, Head, Macroeconomics & Public Finance Research, RWI-Essen.
According to the organisers, the session will provide actionable intelligence on sovereign credibility, institutional governance and macroeconomic policy, as well as insights into fiscal management and public-sector reforms needed to build a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
