As part of activities to celebrate children’s day, Dana Air used the opportunity to show love to children through its Kidzfly programme and also visited some orphanages to impact on the lives of the less privileged in the society.
The activities which peaked with visits to orphanages on May 27, started with a week-long corporate social responsibility effort to give school children, particularly pupils from public schools, the rare opportunity to experience an aircraft while the children at the Sai Orphanage which is managed by the Sri Sai Verdana Foundation were entertained with music, dance, a variety of games with prizes galore as well as a special commemorative cake.
Speaking on the essence of the airline’s support for the well-being of children, the Head, Corporate Communications of Dana Air, Samuel Ogbogoro said children’s Day is a day to celebrate childhood, and as part of our corporate social responsibility, we pay serious attention to issues that impact on proper upbringing of the future generation.
It will be recalled that Dana Air has been in the forefront of encouraging and sponsoring events to help children develop. The airline continuously provides avenues designed to help children have their first flight experience and build their interest in aviation.
