All is set for the third edition of the Sub-Sahara Africa Upstream Oil and Gas Summit and Exhibition organised by Zenith Professional Training (ZPT).

Top on the agenda for the summit scheduled to start on April 5th and last till April 7th, 2017 in Lagos are the issues of sustainability and frontier exploration especially as they affect national oil companies in Sub-Sahara Africa.

The summit which is themed ‘Oil and Gas Business: Prospects and Sustainability in Sub Sahara Africa’ will feature eighteen (18) recognised sector leaders in oil and gas as well as paper presentations by industry leaders.

In a statement signed by Dapo Ayoola, CEO of the Sub-Sahara Africa Upstream Oil and Gas Summit and Exhibition, he stated that the summit will focus on how companies can develop processes and systems that could enhance their operations.

Ayoola stated that given the increasingly volatile operating environment, oil and gas industry players need to rethink and re-strategise to remain profitable.

He said; ‘The summit will examine how the industry develops robust systems and processes that will enable it cope with changing challenges’.

With participants drawn from across Africa, industry issues such as Frontier Exploration in Nigeria; Adding to the pool in Sub Sahara Africa; Sustainable Oil and Gas Business Investment Opportunities and Challenges in East Africa; – A focus on Tanzania will be discussed. Other issues billed for discussion at the summit include, Financing Oil and Gas projects in Sub- Sahara Africa:- Challenges and Opportunities, Oil and Gas Upstream Operations:  Emerging Challenges and Opportunities in Angola and South Sudan, CSR and Sustainable Environment Management.

The 2017 edition of Sub Sahara Africa Oil and Gas Summit & Exhibition is the 3rd in its series and promises to build on the successes of earlier editions held in Accra, Ghana in 2015 and 2016. This summit is Sub- Sahara Africa’s only summit beyond national conferences that hold on African Soil with a focus on sharing African best practices and celebrating oil and gas commercial breakthroughs and professional expertise of local oil and gas experts.
