Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria Harry Purwanto, has predicted that Indonesia’s export value of non-oil products to Nigeria will increase five to 10 percent in 2017.

Harry announced the prediction in a business meeting with Nigerian entrepreneurs from the Plateau Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining, and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) at Jos, Nigeria.

In order to achieve the target, Harry invited the members of PLACCIMA to participate in the 2017 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) that will be held in Jakarta on October 11 until October 15, 2017.

According to Harry, the State of Plateau had already gathered roughly 20 businessmen who have confirmed their participation in this year’s TEI. Meanwhile, other businesses are still requesting for follow-up information regarding the TEI.

Harry explained that there will be around 500 businessmen from 11 West African countries participating in TEI, with an investment and trade commitment value worth USD 129 million.

The non-oil and gas export products from Indonesia recommended by Nigerian businesses include food and beverages products, medical equipment, and pharmaceutical products.
