Dr Mutiu Agboke, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Oyo State, has encouraged eligible Nigerians to register for the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) at their respective wards.

Agboke, in a statement on Wednesday in Ibadan, said that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced the devolution of the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) to the wards level.

He said that the devolution exercise was also expected to take place in the Registration Areas(RAs), nearest to the registrants in all the 33 INEC Local Government Areas in the state.

REC urged Nigerians that just turned 18 years and above or those who have not registered before now to start the process online.

According to him, they should visit online via CVR.inecnigeria.org and visit the registration areas at the local government INEC offices or INEC State Office to complete the registration.

Agboke implored eligible Nigerians to take full advantage of the rotational exercise at the wards level so as to adequately register.

He also urged the owners of unclaimed PVCs to come forward and collect them in order to participate actively in the forthcoming general elections.(NAN)
