Medview Announces N1.2bn Q3 Profit

Med-View Airline Plc has posted a profit after tax of N1.197 billion for the third quarter ended September 30, 2017.

The airline in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange said it posted profit after tax of N1.197 billion during the nine months as against a N1.274 billion
reported in 2016, representing a drop of six per cent.
Its profit before tax stood at N1.362 billion during the period under review as against a profit before tax of N1.450 billion posted in 2016.
Gross revenue rose by 47.98 per cent from N19.442 billion in 2016 to N28.772 billion in 2017.

Med-View posted a profit after tax of N691.029 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017.
The company posted profit after tax of N691.029 million during the first quarter as against a loss after tax of N200.382 million reported in 2016. Its profit before tax stood at N745.239 million during the period under review as against a loss before tax of N133.200 million posted in 2016.
Gross revenue rose by 77.26 per cent from N4.293 billion in 2016 to N7.610 billion in 2017.

Med-View Airline posted a profit after tax of N772.851 million for the financial year ended December 2016, representing 6.28 per cent increase over N728.520 million reported a year earlier.

According to NSE, the company, which recently got listed on the exchange, also grew its pre- tax profit marginally to N840.033 million during the period under review as against N830.912 million recorded in 2015, accounting for a drop of 1.09 per cent.

Gross revenue rose by 84.15 per cent from N14.098 billion in 2015 to N25.962 billion in 2016.

Shareholders of Med-View Airline at the company’s annual general meetings (AGM) recently endorsed the quest for additional capital to help in its expansion drive.
