The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates in the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II). Candidates have been directed to visit the official NCS website, www.customs.gov.ng, or check selected national newspapers to confirm their status and obtain details on the next stage of the process.
Successful candidates will also receive instructions through their registered email addresses and SMS notifications.
Upon receipt, they are required to log on to update.customs.gov.ng using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
The Service confirmed that the portal link for uploading Medical Certificates of Fitness will be activated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and that candidates must complete the upload within one week of activation.
Candidates are further required to accurately update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button. A Trainee Identification Number will follow within one week of acceptance, with further details on documentation and physical screening, including dates, venues and requirements, to be communicated through official channels.
The NCS warned that failure to comply with any of the outlined requirements or timelines may result in disqualification from the recruitment process and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated the successful candidates and said the Service looks forward to welcoming them into a career built on professionalism, integrity and service to the nation.
The announcement was signed by Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, PhD, National Public Relations Officer, for the Comptroller-General of Customs, and dated July 27, 2026.
