NPA, Shippers Council To Deepen Electronic Call-Up System

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA),and the Nigeria Shippers’ Council (NSC) would be working together to deepen Electronic Call-Up System in the maritime industry For more efficient and global Competition

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the NPA, Executive Secretary/CEO of the Council, Barr. Pius Akutah emphasised the need for effective collaboration among the industry stakeholders to meet national and global economic goals.

Akutah pledged the commitment of the Council to consistently engage with industry stakeholders in line with government’s efforts to improve the business environment within the port industry thereby making Nigeria’s seaports more efficient globally

Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, NPA MD, who welcome the NSC visiting team in company of other top executives of the Authority, highlighted key initiatives of the NPA such as the Electronic Call-Up System for haulage trucks operating within the maritime Industry

He also observed that there was every need for further partnerships in line with efforts to take the industry to enviable heights, argued that together, stakeholders would drive the progress for a more efficient port system in Nigeria for the overall benefit of the national economy. goals
