Stakeholders To Discuss Maritime Infrastructure, Ship Financing Needs At NISFCOE 2018

Key stakeholders in the maritime and trade sectors are set to look in depth issues concerning ship and maritime infrastructure financing, with a view to suggesting workable and lasting solutions for the discourse.

Industry stakeholders will be gathering at the second edition of the Nigeria Ship Finance Conference and Exhibition (NISFCOE) scheduled to hold on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10 am prompt.

The Honourable Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, is expected to deliver the Keynote Address , the event organiser, Mrs. Ezinne Azunna, disclosed in a statement at the weekend.

Also expected are the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, who will be attending as Special Guest of Honour, while Mr. Mike Igbokwe SAN will be chairing the conference, which is themed: “Advancing Ship and Maritime Infrastructure Financing in Nigeria: Innovative Concepts and Sustainable Approaches.”

Heads of maritime agencies will be speaking even as Professor Fabian Ajogwu, SAN will deliver the lead paper titled “Innovative Concepts & Sustainable Approaches to Effective Ship & Maritime Infrastructure Financing in Nigeria: Critical Review.” Mr Chris Oshiafi will speak on the “Perspectives for Ship and Port Infrastructure Financing in Nigeria: The Export Credit Agencies (ECA) Approach.”

Mr Bashir Jamoh, Executive Director, Finance & Administration, NIMASA will address delegates on “Financing Structures for the Advancement of Ship & Maritime Development in Nigeria” NISFCOE 2018

A pool of experts will also discuss Challenges and Solutions to Ship & Maritime Infrastructure Financing.
