Tincan Port Customs August Revenue Hits N1.020 billion

The new Customs Area Controller of Tin Can 11 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (ꈍNCSꈍ), Comptroller Lami Wushishi has  declared her revenue earnings of N1,020,947,633.00 (One billion, and twenty million, nine hundred and forty seven thousand, six hundred and thirty three naira, no kobo) for the month of August, 2018 despite business degradation, which incated it recorded 71.3% of the total monthly target.
Statistics  from the office of the Public Relations Officer, ASC1, Farouk A.S shows that in the same corresponding period of 2017 the Tin Can 11 Command, generated a total sum of N1,708,292,043.00, this however indicates that there was a massive drop this year 2018, given a whopping difference of N687,344,410.00 as monthly revenue respectively.
The Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Lami Wushishi, while disclosing her monthly report to the media said that, within the period under her supervision, every necessary revenue leakages and loopholes would be checked and blocked, thereby charged the officers and men to show total commitment, resilience, dedication in accommodating freight forwarders, as well as brace up to ensure that the Command experience revenue boost and dividends of the Colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali’s reform policy on maximum revenue earnings, which she said is key to Economic growth.
She disclosed that the level of compliance would determine other revenue profiles. Using the opportunity to adviced stakeholders operating within the Command to please adhere strictly to the management policy as a driving force.
Comptroller Wushishi also urged the importers and their agents to extend hands of fellowship to her as it was done to her predecessor, Comptroller Dalhat optimum productivity, good business transactions and “Facilitation of Legitimate Trade”, rather than being caught for false declaration and underdeclarant of goods, adding that, she promised to create a veritable friendly business environment, she assured.
