Africa Energy Indaba Seeks Involvement Of Women In Energy

Africa’s leading energy conference and exhibition, Africa Energy Indaba, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing gender diversity and inclusion in the energy sector by hosting the Women in Energy Forum during its 2025 event.

This event will take place on the 5th March 2025 in Cape Town.

The Women in Energy Forum serves as a powerful platform to emphasize the critical role women play in shaping Africa’s energy future. Through this dynamic event, the Africa Energy Indaba underscores the importance of empowering women leaders, innovators, and professionals who are driving transformative change across the sector.

This year’s forum will focus on pressing issues such as, Advancing gender diversity in energy leadership and decision-making, Championing women-led innovations and sustainable energy initiatives, Fostering mentorship and career development for women professionals and Driving investments in projects and policies that support gender equality in energy
“The Women in Energy Forum is a testament to the indispensable role women play in driving Africa’s energy transformation. By providing this platform, we aim to inspire, empower, and amplify the voices of women who are shaping innovative, inclusive, and sustainable energy solutions for the continent.” said Liz Hart, Managing Director of Africa Energy Imdaba.

“The Women in Energy Forum is not just an event; it’s a movement to ensure women have a seat at the table in shaping Africa’s energy solutions. By hosting this forum, we aim to inspire and catalyse change, recognising that inclusive leadership is essential for achieving a sustainable energy future.”

The forum provides a unique space for dialogue, collaboration, and networking among industry leaders, policymakers, and emerging talent. By spotlighting the invaluable contributions of women in energy, the Africa Energy Indaba reinforces the necessity of a diverse and inclusive workforce to meet the continent’s energy challenges and opportunities.
