Cultist Police Officer In Akwa Ibom Dismissed

..As Command Arrests 12 Suspected Cultists

The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State Imohimi Edgal, has vowed to decimate cultism and other crimes in the State.

This is coming after the Command dismissed Mfon Esio with force number F/NO. 513379 PC for discreditable conduct to wit cultism.

The said Constable on 20th May, 2020 was fingered in a Junior Vikings Confraternity initiation in which one Ubong John William ‘m’ was allegedly abducted to a bush along Marina Road, Eket where he was forcefully initiated into the Junior Vikings Confraternity. The Constable has been subjected to orderly room trial where he was found guilty of the offence and has been dismissed immediately from the Force. This will serve as a deterrent to others of his like in the Force.

Again, the Command has nabbed the following notorious cultists: Ubong Asuquo Etim ‘m’ of Idu Uruan, Uruan L.G.A, Paul Effiong Uruk ‘m’ of Anua Offot, Uyo L.G.A, Imoh I. Udoh ‘m’ of Mbierebe Obio village, Ibesikpo Asutan L. G. Area, Ukpono Albert ‘m’ of No. 2 Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo and Idorenyin Albert ‘m’.

Others are Nseobong Etim Inyang ‘m’,Christopher Sunday Asuquo ‘m’ of Idung Akpautung, Esit Eket L.G.A, Wisdom Effiong Archibong ‘m’ of Idung Akpautung, Esit Eket L.G.A, Ekemini James Ekwere ‘m’ of Idung Akpautung, Esit Eket L.G.A, Aniedi Ekong Eshiet a.k.a “Saint” ‘m’ of Idua Road, Eket L.G.A, Emmanuel John Jack ‘m’ of No. 23 Grace Bill Road, Eket L.G.A and Socrate Evidence Bassey a.k.a “Bone” ‘m’ of Odoro Enen village, Eket.

The suspects were arrested at different locations in the State.

The following exhibits were recovered from them:Ten (10) locally made pistols

Four hundred (400) live cartridges, Ten (10) expended cartridges, Fifteen (15) machetes, Five (5) axes, wraps of substance suspected to be cocaine and

Items suspected to be charms.

According to CSP N-Nudam K Fredrick spokesman of the Command, the Commissioner warned that any persons, no matter how highly placed involved in cultism or other crimes will be promptly arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
