Customs operatives in Ogun State have seized smuggled poultry products.
Spokesman of the Command H B Oloyede in a statement said, “On Friday, 10th July, 2020 at about 1145hrs, CAC Special Taskforce of NCS Ogun 1 Area Command while on routine mobile patrol intercepted three vehicles conveying poultry products along Sango/Ifo road.”
Oloyede disclosed that one of the three vehicles was ingeniously remodeled to accommodate additional compartment on the roof so as to create more space for conveyance of smuggled items.
Upon further examination, about 450 cartons of poultry products were discovered and consequently destroyed in line with the extant guidelines.
The Command further reiterated its commitment on fight against smuggling in the overall interest of the country.
