Firearms Recovered In An Uncompleted Building In Lagos ..Police Assures Resident Of Safety

The Lagos state police command’s Taskforce on the recovery of illegal and prohibited firearm attached to Lekki Area command has uncovered the illegal arm stockpiled in a building.

Spokesman of the command, CSP Chike Oti said that the team, while on targeted raid of uncompleted and unoccupied houses in a plot of land at road 1 block 1 at  plot seven with location at victory pack at Osapa London an outskirt of lekki recovered five rifles inside an unoccupied shanty within the aforesaid plot of land.

“The guns recovered comprises of three European made pump action rifles number L926547, R268751 and P987707, other specification include one locally made double barrel rifle and one locally made single barrel”.

Adding that upon searching the den, another berretta pistol with other two locally made guns was also uncovered within that same location but specifically at Elemore!

” Eleven armed robbery suspects were also arrested at their various hideout and also recovered one berretta pistol”

Oti said progress made in the investigation will be made public.

He said that the Commissioner of police; Mr Edgal imohimi had directed the ballistic arm of the SCID in Panti to commence an investigation into the case.

Assuring Lagos inhabitants that the ember months will remain peaceful as the command will continue to carry out intelligence and purpose-driven raids on all identified criminal spot in the state
