The Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Area has felicitated with HRM Oba Joel Titiloye Olufayo II, the Oloro of Oro Kingdom, and HRM Oba Yakub Ibrahim Agboola (Egunjobi II), the Elesie of Esie Kingdom, on their elevation to the prestigious status of First Class Monarchs.

IThe Chairman described the elevation as a well-deserved honour, recognizing the monarchs’ immense contributions to peace, unity, and the preservation of cultural heritage within their respective domains. He noted that their new status is not only a personal achievement but also a moment of pride for the entire local government.

The Chairman further lauded the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for what he described as a visionary step towards strengthening traditional institutions across the state. He commended the Governor’s administration for its consistent efforts in promoting the relevance of royal fathers as key partners in governance and grassroots development.

According to the Chairman, the elevation of the Oloro of Oro and the Elesie of Esie reflects the Governor’s deep respect for tradition and his commitment to inclusive governance. He added that such recognition would further empower traditional rulers to contribute meaningfully to peacebuilding and community advancement.

The Chairman emphasized that the Abdulrazaq-led administration has continued to demonstrate purposeful leadership by fostering unity and stability through strategic engagement with traditional institutions. He described the gesture as a significant boost to the cultural and socio-political fabric of Irepodun Local Government Area and Kwara State as a whole.

He concluded by wishing the newly elevated First Class Monarchs a successful and impactful reign, expressing confidence that their leadership would bring continued progress and harmony to their kingdoms.
