The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has strengthened inter-agency collaboration through recent high-level engagements with the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army and the EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate.
The cooperation was firmed up when Brigadier General Abubakar Saddiq Bugaje, Garrison Commander of the 2 Division, visited the Command’s Operational Headquarters in Ibadan. He praised the warm reception and stressed the Army’s role in protecting lives and property, calling for sustained cooperation among security agencies. Bugaje reaffirmed his division’s commitment to supporting Customs against state security challenges.
Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Moses Adewole, welcomed the partnership, highlighting the Army’s critical work in defending against external threats and maintaining internal peace. He pledged to build on existing ties for greater operational efficiency.
The following day, 26 February 2026, DC Adewole led a management team on a familiarization visit to the EFCC Zonal Office. He commended their anti-corruption drive and sought ongoing collaboration in joint operations, intelligence sharing, and capacity building.
EFCC Zonal Director Mrs. Hauwa Garba Ringim expressed appreciation for the visit, noting the strong symbiotic relationship already in place. She assured continued support, especially in intelligence, joint operations, and enforcement.
These strategic meetings reflect the Command’s dedication to partnerships that bolster national security, transparency, and service delivery for Nigeria’s development.
