The Police in Anambra has arrested a 24 year old suspect and recovered a stolen tricycle in his possession.
According to, SP Haruna Mohamed, PPRO, Anambra State Police Command,
“On the 20/6/2020 at about 6:30am, following a tip off Police operatives attached to the Command public complaint and Anti piracy unit (APPCAP) arrested one Chibuzor Nwachukwu Emmanuel ‘m’ aged 24 years of Okpuno Okochi time in Awka South LGA of Anambra State.”
Mohammed said the suspect, who was an habitual offender jumped over the fence and allegedly stole a tricycle KEKE belonging to one Okafor Chukwunonso Kelvin ‘m’ of ikolo house Umudioka inside his compound.
He said the suspect has confessed voluntarily and the exhibit was recovered in his possession. The investigation is still ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book.
The Command enjoined vehicle and tricycle owners to install tracking or other security devices in order to secure their property from the vehicles and tricycle stealing syndicates.
