The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command CP Usman Nagogo has announced completion of the inauguration of Local government community policing Advisory committees in Gusau local government area.
The 25 man committee was unvieled at the palace of Emir of Gusau Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Bello and attended by the Gusau local government Chairman, Traditional Rulers, Community and Religious leaders and other stakeholders.
In his address, the Commissioner of Police told the gathering that, the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed A. Adamu, in his commitement to address the security challenges in the country came up with the community policing initiative, which among its mission was to engage members of the community to take part in matters relating to their security, as is every body’s business. He enjoined them to be alive to the responsibility given to them.
In his response, the Emir of Gusau on behalf of the committee members thanks the IGP for nuting the community policing idea, and he promised not to fail on the task given to them.
Among the CP’s entourage were the State Director Security, Commandant Civil Defence, Commanding Officers 42/78 PMF Squadrons and other senior Officers.
