Ten more students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna have been released by their abductors after spending 81 days in captivity.
Kaduna State Chapter Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab, confirmed the development on Sunday evening.
Hayab, expressed hope and confidence that 11 of the students still with the bandits’ will soon be released.
According to him: “Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits.
“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support. And we trusting God that the rest will be released very soon,” he said.
The kidnappers had on July 5 broke into Bethel Baptist High School at Damishi along the Kaduna – Kachia highway, Chikun Local Government Area and whisked away 121 students.
They had since been releasing the students in batches after ransom were reportedly collected in millions.
