The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has received One hundred and sixty-seven stranded Nigerians in Libya repatriated back to the country yesterday

The Director General of the Agency, Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed Habib who on behalf of the Federal Government received the  Assisted Voluntary Returnees at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja admonished them to look beyond seeking greener pastures in foreign lands that no longer exist there. .

They landed at the MIMIA at about 2308 hours onboard Boeing 737-800 Al Buraq Air with registration 5A-DMG.

Profiling of the returnees reveals that adult females are 65, female children are 3 and female infants are 5 making a total of 73 females while male adults are 76, male children are 11 and male infants are 7 making a total of 94 males.

Alh Habib adviced them to look inward towards making the best use of abundant resources abound in Nigeria in order to utilise their potentials.

The Director General who was represented by the NEMA Lagos Territorial Office Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye assured them that the Federal Government is conscious of the aspirations of the youths and it is providing enabling environment where everyone will achieve his/her full potentials.

.Other Agencies that joined NEMA to receive the returnees are the National Refugee Commission, Nigeria Port Health, Police, FAAN and Nigeria Immigration Service
