4 Suspected Cultists Arrested In Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command Anti-Cult Unit has raided various hideouts and blackspots following intelligence report and arrested three suspects.

The arrested suspects included Nwabuwanne Maduka ‘male’ aged 22years, Anayo Ikechukwu ‘male’ aged 21years, and Gozie Okoye ‘male’ aged 37years.

A press statement by the spokesperson of the command SP Haruna Mohammed further stated that the suspects were arrested at Amawa village Ogbunike in Oyi LGA of Anambra State and they voluntarily confessed to be members of the  Black Axe and Vikings Secret Cults Confraternity.

“Exhibit recovered in their possessions includes One pump action gun, and other incriminating items”

In a related development, the Command Anti-cult unit equally arrested one Chukwuweike Ndupu ‘male’ aged 26years native of Atani, Ogbauru Local Government Area but residing at Oye Olisa, Ogbunike of same Local Government of Anambra State.

Suspect has been on the Police wanted list in cult related cases.He has voluntarily confessed to be a member of Vikings Confraternity.

“Exhibits recovered in his possesion includes one locally made single barrel pistol and one live cartridge”

“All cases are under investigation after which suspects would be brought to book”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Mr. John Abang, thanked “Ndi Anambra” for providing the Command with actionable intelligence and reassure the public of adequate protection.

CP Abang further urged all Ndi Anambra and residents alike to report any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest Police Station or call police emergency number 07039194332 for prompt response.
