The Osun State Police Command has disclosed those who Kidnapped two Chinese miners in the State are asking for a N10m ransom before they will let them go.
Zhao Jian, 33 and Wen, 50 were forcefully taken away on Monday at a mining site in Okepa/Itikan village; located in Ifewara, Atakunmosa-West Local Government Area of Osun after their abductors reportedly shot two private guards who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Osun State Police Command Spokesperson Yemisi Opalola on Wednesday, said the Command was intensifying efforts towards ensuring that the Chinese nationals were rescued unharmed.
She added that the Command was working alongside other security operatives to ensure that the victims were released.
However, she urged residents of the state to equally help with credible information on the activities of criminals in the state.
