Access Bank Plc has recorded a N72.4bn rise in revenue to N397bn in the first half operation of 2020 despite the impact of COVID-19.
The bank revealed this in its half year financial report released on Friday.
This represents a growth of 22.3 per cent from the N324.38bn recorded in the preceding period of 2019.
The also realised N61 bn in profit after tax, down by N84m from the N61.84bn recorded in the first quarter of 2020.
Analysis of the bank’s financial report showed that net assets grew by 10.5 per cent from N606.74bn to N670.36bn.
The bank also proposed an interim dividend of 25 Kobo per ordinary share of 50 Kobo each on the 35,545,225,622 issued ordinary shares of 50k.
The bank noted that the dividend is payable to shareholders on the register of shareholding at the closure date.
