The Hon. Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development. Alhaji Mohammed Sabo Nanono and Alhaji Mustapha Baba Shehuri received the Heads of its Agencies, Colleges of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Institutes at the Ministry for a briefing on their activities and challenges.
The Hon. Minister, Alh. Mohammed Sabo Nanono, in his remarks enjoined all to improve their productivities. “Nigeria has a lot of resources and all we have to do is to organize ourselves so as to meet our people’s need.” he said. He also pointed that it is on his agenda to improve the status of our Agricultural research. Therefore, Agricultural Research Institutes and Federal Colleges of Agriculture must give attention to useful researches for the betterment of our Agricultural sector.
In his own remarks, the Hon. Minister of State Alh. Mustapha Baba Shehuri charged all the Heads of Agric Agencies, Federal Colleges of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Institutes to come up with the details of their respective programmes so as to know how far they have gone, where they are going and their challenges. According to him, ”something important is that we must find solution to our challenges in Agriculture.”
