AIICO Fetes Abandoned Children During Children‘s Day Celebration In Lagos

AIICO Insurance Plc., celebrated this years Children’s Day by feasting with children at the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice Surulere and spent the day with the children at the hospice. 

Heart of Gold has been ensuring all the children under its care receive the best possible attention for their health since 1990. 

Hearts of God Children’s Hospice, is a home for abandoned, orphaned and sick children suffering from a vast range of congenital abnormalities and children with terminal or life threatening illness. 

The hospice offers comfortable, caring and a loving environment for these children by providing a nurturing safe environment, palliative healthcare and comfort. Their remarkable work in ensuring a better life for the children whom have various medical challenges has had significant impact in Lagos State with government, individuals and corporate body’s lending a hand. 

According to the Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Babatunde Fajemirokun, “AIICO has a culture of giving back to society in ways that impact a significant uplift in the lives of people. Our Corporate Social Responsibility program is centered on: promoting literacy and STEM education, skill acquisition and aiding in the delivery of quality, affordable healthcare for all. This initiative had two aims, the first was the intervention in providing better health care for the children at the hospice. The second was to igniting a spirit of compassion in younger generation who will be our future leaders. 

A number of our staffs’ children were part of the visit to the hospice”. During the visit to the home, AIICO donated items such as; beds, mattresses, generator, microwave, foodstuff and toiletries.
