In order to enhance peaceful coexistence and avert clashes between farmers and cattle rearers in the State, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP John B.Abang, has held a peace meeting with the Cattle menace Committee set up by the State government comprising of the Commissioner of Police as Chairman, Army, Dss, Civil Defence, Representatives of myetti Allah and that of Ebenebe Community.
During the meeting, parties were advised and warned not to take laws into their hands but report any incident to the appropriate authority for prompt action.
Consequently, the Committee equally paid an on the spot assessment visit to Ebenebe Community to access extent of damages done to both the farmers and the cattle rearers for amicable resolution.
SP Haruna Mohammed PPRO Anambra State Police Command, said currently the area is calm and people are going about their normal business unhindered.
