The Chairperson Police Officers Wives Association, POWA, Anambra State Chapter Mrs.Christine E. Abang, has distrubuted COVID-19 palliative and other relief materials to Police formations and other departments in Anambra State.
The donation was meant to cushion the effects of Corona virus which has now become a global pandemic.
Beneficiaries of the first phase of the palliative includes Awka,Nnewi and Onitsha Area Command Headquarters, Police barracks Awka,Onitsha, Nnewi and Ihiala,Police Medical Services Awka and Onitsha .Other beneficiaries are CPS Awka Nnewi and Onitsha and PCRC office Onitsha respectively.
Items distributed includes 100 bags of Rice,10 bags of beans,5 packets of face masks,5 cartons of liquid Soap,500 pieces of hand Sanitizers,100 tubers of yam,50 cartons of Noodles 5 crates of malt drink,50 buckets ,3 Cartons of tin tomatoes and 5 bags of Salt, confirmed SP Haruna Mohammed, PPRO, Anambra State Police Command.
