Anambra State Takes To New Security  Measures

The Anambra State Government has said it is reviewing security measures in response to the security challenges in the Southeast geopolitical zone.
The State Government explained that a review of security measures is going on in the state to avert attacks on residents and security personnel.
According to C. Don Adinuba, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, the review has resulted in traffic delays at security checkpoints in different parts of the state.
 The delays Adinuba regretted haa caused much inconvenience to travellers who are sometimes required to disembark from their vehicles for security checks.
” We are much aware that a lot of our people have been returning home from far and near to join their families, associates and friends to not only celebrate Easter but also participate in a lot of social events, including fund raisers for scholarships and development projects.
“While apologising to all and sundry for the considerable delays and accompanying inconvenience which Ndi Anambra are experiencing, we urge them to continue to cooperate fully with various security officers. The ongoing security review is for the public good. The protection of the life and property of every Anambra person is a fundamental commitment of the Governor Willie Obiano administration.” the Commissioner explained.
