British Airways has announced the appointment of Andrew Brem, to serve as the carrier’s chief commercial officer, as well as a member of the British Airways management Committee.
Previously holding the role of chief digital officer at Aviva, an FTSE-100 insurance business, Brem has held leadership positions in a number of organisations. This include serving as managing director of British Gas’ Hive, as well as managing director, Multi-Channel eCommerce & Services at Carphone Warehouse.
Starting in his new capacity as CCO on October 29, 2018, Brem takes over responsibility for the airline’s commercial division and is expected to report directly to Alex Cruz, chairman and CEO of British Airways.
Commenting on the appointment, Alex Cruz, shared: “I am thrilled to welcome Andrew to British Airways. Andrew is a great talent with extensive experience of leading and growing consumer businesses. We are investing £4.5 billion in our products and services over the next five years and Andrew will be instrumental in accelerating our transformation and strengthening our commercial offer. Brem replaces Adam Daniels who has moved to join Avios as chief commercial officer.
