The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has conveyed warm Easter wishes to Christians nationwide, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice, hope, unity, and prayer as Nigeria observes the 2026 Easter festivities.

In his Easter address, Professor Yilwatda highlighted the significance of Easter in the Christian faith, underscoring its message of redemption through the sacrifice, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He urged Nigerians to not only celebrate but also reflect on the values of faith, resilience, forgiveness, and hope during this season.

Emphasizing the relevance of Easter’s lessons to Nigeria’s current challenges, Professor Yilwatda called on citizens to draw strength from the Easter narrative and remain steadfast in faith and patriotism amidst adversities.

He encouraged a recommitment to righteousness, compassion, unity, and service to humanity, emphasizing the need for living out these values in both personal and public life. Expressing concern over the nation’s security issues, the APC National Chairman called for unity, vigilance, and cooperation to address violence and criminal activities.

He acknowledged the government’s efforts in enhancing security and urged continued collaboration among various stakeholders to ensure peace and justice prevail. As Nigerians observe Easter, Professor Yilwatda urged prayers for the nation, its leaders, and security personnel, emphasizing the importance of faith, reflection, and hope for a better future.

He expressed confidence that with collective commitment to national unity and progress, Nigeria will overcome its challenges and thrive. In conclusion, Professor Yilwatda extended Easter blessings to all Christians and encouraged Nigerians to uphold hope, lawfulness, and dedication to nation-building.

He wished for a peaceful and spiritually enriching Easter celebration, calling for renewed faith and unity for a brighter future.
