Arik Air has resumed flight operations after management reached a truce with aggrieved staff.

Many of the airlines passengers were stranded at the airport following protests by aviation unions against the management of the airline.

At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, several travellers were disappointed as the carrier’s operations were disrupted by the unionists, who were protesting the non-payment of seven months’ outstanding salaries to employees of Arik, among other issues.

However, Banji Ola spokesman of the airline told Oriental News Nigeria on phone that the situation is now normal and flight operations have resumed in earnest.
