Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led Kaduna State Government has confirmed the death of one person when suspected bandits on Sunday attacked commuters on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
El-Rufai, who spoke through the Commissioner for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan, revealed that the bandits killed one person and kidnapped scores of travelers during the attack.
Aruwan, however, revealed that eleven persons had been rescued from the assailants.
He identified the deceased as Muhammad Sagir Hamidu, chairman and CEO of Famaks British School and former governorship aspirant in Zamfara State.
He said the deceased’s vehicle has been recovered by the Police.
