BoI Renews Commitment To Grow SME’s, Launches New APP

The Bank of Industry (BOI) has renewed its commitment toward the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) in the country.

The bank has also lunched the SME Apps with necessary information about the Bank to enhance public access to information regarding the bank’s operations.

Speaking today at the ongoing Lagos International Trade fair the Managing Director of the bank, Rasheed Olaoluwa explained that the SME APPs was developed to enable the public reach the bank by phone.

Olaoluwa who was represented by the Director, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Waheed Olagunju added that the BOI SME accounting APP, enables one to do his/her accounting work.

He said over 120 business developments consultants are working with them presently and they are still in the process of increasing the number to enable the bank meet up with their increasing businesses.

The bank according to him is coming up with specific structured financial products that are meant to serve Nigerian youths which include the recently introduced fund for young graduates who have completed their youth service and are interested in becoming an entrepreneurs.

The MD said that the bank has been able to support more than one thousand SMEs in the last 13 months and advised people to take advantage of all the available opportunities to access the BOI fund including the N10bn window curtesy of Dangote foundation.
