The Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors, BOSA, a group that was launched to support and ensure victory for the All Progressive Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has outlined its strategies to actualise mobilization of three million votes for the candidate during the election.
Convener of the group, Wale Arogundade while addressing supporters and media in Lagos at the weekend said, the group has gone through the manifesto of Sanwo-Olu. and are highly impressed with projects he outlined to execute and is inspired that he will continue all capital projects.
Arogundade, said also that the group believed that he will create more jobs, tackle electricity decline through new incentives and innovations and battle insecurity with greater zeal and therefore called on those waging campaigns against the candidate to desist from it and instead support his candidature.
He said Lagos has seen input from all spheres of humanity and it is on that basis that the Ambassadors has launched the “3 MILLION VOTE CAMPAIGN” for the APC, and the Lagos gubernatorial candidate, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“We have already set up structures in the 57 local governments in Lagos with coordinators appointed for each. Our desire is to launch a house-to-house campaign to ensure overwhelming and unprecedented victory of Mr Sanwo-Olu in the coming election.
This can only be achieved if we secure 3 million votes for the candidate”.
Arogundade, said that part of its strategy is to visit every street, market places, churches, mosques, the creeks and water side to speak to the people of Lagos to support Mr Sanwo-Olu in the coming election.
“With a voter’s figure of 6.2million in Lagos, securing 3 million votes for Mr Sanwo-Olu will definitely not be a difficult task. We call on all voters in Lagos to join us in this tall order. This is a task that must be fulfilled. This is a task we shall fulfill. We use this opportunity to call for a free and fair election in Lagos.
We call on voters in Lagos to be provided with adequate security. We call for vigilance to ensure the votes of the people of Lagos count.” he appealed.
The convener, said the Ambassadors are impressed by the incredible opportunities Lagos has continued to offer Nigerians and people from West Africa irrespective of their race, colour and faith.
He also, acknowledged the efforts of the modern architects led by Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, succeeded by Babatunde Raji Fashola, (SAN) and Akinwunmi Ambode, and that they are inspired that Lagos also provided the strategic support for the stronghold of the progressives in many South West states and across Nigeria.
“The glorious peak came in 2015 when Lagos, through Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and his team, led the transformation of Nigeria from the hands of reactionary politicians at the national level. It is natural that the people of Lagos will never allow this golden opportunity to sneak away. We are ready to defend this tradition.” he noted.
Arogundade said that it is expected that voters’ fatigue may arise following the domination of the political space by only one political party, however, the people of Lagos are quick to remember that the experiences of Nigerians in the hands of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in other states are nothing to write home about.
