Bristow has resumed flight of the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter fleet, two of which crashed, one last year’s August and the other one crashed February this year.

This was disclosed in a statement by Bristow’s spokesman, Cornelius Onuoha, who said the resumption of the flight followed a post-incident performed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the regulatory body.

It is however, a non-revenue flight as the airline is still awaiting NCAA’s directive before it could embark on commercial flights.

According to Onuoha, “The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has performed a post incident audit of Bristow’s operations in Nigeria and has authorized Bristow to start test flights of the S-76 fleet.
