BusinessToday Names Panelists For 2023 Annual Conference

 BusinessToday annual Conference have lined up an array of panelists who will critically analyse and proffer solutions to the theme of this year’s conference.
The Organisers of the 2023 edition of the event listed the panelists to include: Managing Director/CEO, Sovereign Trust Insurance PLC, Mr. Olaotan Soyinka; Managing Director/CEO of International Energy Insurance PLC, Mr. Olasupo Sogelola and pension Guru/ Consultant, Mrs. Idu Okwuosa-Okeahialam.
Others: Managing Director Tangerine General Insurance, Ademayowa Adeduro and Managing Director Sanlam Life Insurance, Mr. Tunde Mimiko.
The Conference which is the seventh edition in the series, will be chaired by Chairman, Boff and Company Insurance Brokers Limited, Mr. Babajide Olatunde- Agbeja while the Chief Executive Officer, Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise [CPPE], Dr. Muda Yusuf, will present the theme paper.
The Commissioner for National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Sunday Thomas is the special guest of honour.
The event which will have in attendance industry players from both sectors of the economy has as the theme: “Consumer Satisfaction In Deepening Penetration In Insurance And Pension Sectors”. It will be held at Oriental Hotels, Victoria Island Lagos.
Speaking on the theme of the conference, the Managing Editor of BusinessToday Communication Limited, Mrs. Nkechi Naeche-Esezobor said ” The consumer is the vehicle through which insurance and pension sectors could achieve their target on penetration and market deepening in pursuit of the country’s financial inclusion project. Therefore, satisfying the consumer experience is critical in achieving this goal.”
She noted that the 2023 annual conference is expected to create the necessary environment and strategies that will drive penetration particularly in the informal sector for both sectors.
The conference will also feature industry experts such as the Director General, National Pension Commission (PenCom), Mrs. Aisha Dahir-Umar and the Chairman Nigerian Insurers Association, Segun Omoshein.
Similarly, the Director General NIA, Mrs Yetunde Ilori and the President of Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria, (PenOp),) Mr. Olumide Oyetan, President Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Mr. Edwin Igbiti among others, will be in attendance.
Others expected are: Association of Pension Desk Practitioners of Nigeria; Amagamated Traders Association Alakoro Market; Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Nigerian Union of Pensioners, Trade Union Congress,
Nigerian Labour Congress, Association of Senior Staff of Banks Insurance and other Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI), Consumer Awareness Organisation, Market Women, People Living With Disability in Lagos, Nigerian Port Authority and Students of Actuarial science/ insurance, University of Lagos.
BusinessToday conference comes up annually to deliberate and find solutions to issues that affect the both sectors.
