Chief Dr. Innocent Ezuma, PhD (Lord Mayor of Arondizuogu Ancient Kingdom) and Executive Chairman of Etazuma Mining and Industries Limited turned Sunday, March 30, 2025, into a memorable celebration of education, empowerment, and legacy at the official commissioning ceremony of the Joseph and Enesi Oyeyani Makoju Lecture Theatre at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State.

This was a remarkable testament to visionary leadership and enduring philanthropy.

More than a thousand people came to celebrate the memories of Pa Joseph Makoju and his son, Enesi Oyeyani Makoju, in an atmosphere full of pride and excitement. The audience, which included academics, government representatives, business leaders, clergy, prominent lawyers, and other notable guests, witnessed a historic event when Dr. Ezuma gave a heartfelt message of goodwill that touched everyone in attendance.

The crowd gave a standing ovation and deafening applause when Dr. Ezuma, a philanthropist and education supporter, revealed a ₦10 million donation for the continued upkeep of the recently commissioned lecture theatre. This was the highlight of the event. This gift, which went beyond a monetary donation, represented his unshakable dedication to the growth of education and institutional excellence.

Dr. Ezuma encapsulated the spirit of the day when he said, “This donation is not only an investment in infrastructure; it is an investment in dreams, goals, and the future of our young people.”

Dr. Ezuma’s donation of ₦10 million continues his longstanding support of Federal University Lokoja. He had previously contributed two brand-new buses to help staff and students with their transportation needs, an action that still has a good influence on the university community members’ daily lives.

Prominent academics, leaders of industries, members of the University Council, the Vice Chancellor of the university, and representatives of the Kogi State Governor graced the commissioning ceremony.

For many, the occasion was more than just a formal occasion; it was a potent celebration of generosity, optimism, and vision. In addition to attending the commissioning, Chief Dr. Innocent Ezuma enriched it with his voice, presence, and unwavering legacy of generosity.

One thing was clear as the ovation subsided and the event came to an end: Dr. Ezuma’s dedication to educating the next generation would always be a source of inspiration for advancement in Nigeria and beyond.
