The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, March 30; confirmed 20 fresh cases of coronavirus in the country.
NCDC said on its Twitter handle that 13 of the cases were in Lagos, four in Federal Capital Territory, two in Kaduna and one in Oyo State.
“Twenty new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 13 in Lagos, 4 in FCT, 2 in Kaduna and 1 in Oyo State,” NCDC tweeted.
“As at 09:00 pm 30th March, there are 131 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 2 deaths.”
The new discoveries bring the number of people that have been infected by the disease to 131.
Out of this figure, eight persons have been discharged and two killed by the disease.
Lagos State had earlier that Lagos released five patients infected with the virus.
