Continental Hotels Nigeria Champions Youth Development In Hospitality

In a bold move to shape the future of the hospitality industry, Continental Hotels Nigeria is championing youth development through its comprehensive training programs and mentorship initiatives.
The  Group General Manager of the company, Karl Hala disclosed this at the International Hospitality Tourism and Eco- Sustainability Forum IHTEF AFRICA Hotel Expo hosted by Abuja Continental  Hotel
He  emphasized the importance of investing in the youth and providing them with opportunities to grow and develop in the hospitality industry.
The hospitality industry is built on people, not just products or services, according to Karl. “Our frontline employees are brand ambassadors, economic enablers, and place builders,adding  Hospitality, at its core, is humanity in action.”
“Continental Hotels Nigeria is committed to creating career maps for young talents, providing mentorship, training academies, and skills acceleration programs. “Our goal is clear: to create a future where a young Nigerian can proudly say, ‘I was trained, mentored, and celebrated by Nigerian hotels – and now I lead on the global stage,'” Karl said.
He noted that ny investing in the youth, Continental Hotels Nigeria is building a strong foundation for the future of the hospitality industry in Nigeria. The company’s approach to talent development is holistic, focusing on both technical skills and soft skills.
Karl believes that Nigeria has the potential to become a hub for hospitality excellence, with young Nigerians being trained and mentored to become leaders in the industry. “Let’s invest not just in rooms and restaurants – but in resilience and relevance,” he advised.
He pointed  out that the company’s commitment to youth development is evident in its training programs and mentorship initiatives. “We believe in career paths, not just payroll numbers,” Karl said.
According to him., Continental Hotels Nigeria’s vision is to create a future where Nigerian hospitality professionals are recognized globally for their excellence.
“Let’s build Lagos School of Hospitality Excellence,” “Let’s make Abuja Hospitality Institute a reference point for West Africa.” he said
Karl noted that with  its strong leadership and vision, Continental Hotels Nigeria is poised for continued growth and success stressing that  organization’s s commitment to youth development and hospitality excellence will drive its success in the years to come.
” As the hospitality industry continues to evolve, Continental Hotels Nigeria remains committed to its core values of people-first, youth-forward, and hospitality reimagined. The company’s approach to talent development and hospitality excellence will continue to set it apart from its competitors” he declared .
