About four persons were reportedly killed at the seaside of Kweme, Pengbon Community in Seme border area of Badagry West Local Council Area of Lagos State.

The Baale of the Pengbon Community, Chief Ayeleso Ganjo, stated that the  clash which broke out between the rival cult groups  on Monday in the area has left four people dead as at Tuesday, January 12th, 2021.

The Baale said the clash allegedly occured between two rival outlawed cult groups , Black Axe Confraternity also known as Aye and the Air Lords also known as Eiye.

The deceased persons include Agossu Daniel 20, Ayewa  Amaniel 21 and two others who are yet to be identified.

“Its unfortunate that much is not being done to help our people here. This is a border community where government generates revenue.

“Activities of these cult groups are increasing by the day. Last year, I arrested one of the deceased persons Agossu Daniel with ammunition in his pocession and handed him over to the police, till today i cannot say of what happened of that case at the police.

“Last year 2020, I wrote a petition to the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, drawing his attention to the rising cases of criminality in this border community.

“KIllings and all sorts of criminality happen in this area from time to time without any action by the government agencies to put to check further occurrence.

“The families of the victims of this present case like we regularly experience it here are presently perfecting arrangements to hurriedly pick their dead bodies for burial,” said Ganjo.
