The Comptroller Gambo Aliyu, the Customs Area Controller for Oyo/Osun Command, has sought for close cooperation with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Oyo State.

He emphasized that inter-agency collaboration is essential for national security and public safety.

According to a statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Akintola Abdulmalik, Comptroller Aliyu and his management team paid official visits to both agencies’ offices in Ibadan.

At the DSS office, where he was received by State Director Rahim Adelakun, Aliyu praised the agency’s tireless efforts to protect lives and property, highlighting its key role in maintaining peace, stability, and socio-economic development.

Following this, the Customs Area Controller visited the FRSC headquarters and was welcomed by Sector Commander Corps Commander Rosemary Alo. He commended the Corps for its strong enforcement of road safety laws and public education, noting that their efforts have significantly reduced road accidents in the state.

“No government agency can work effectively alone. Continuous mutual support and inter-agency synergy are the pillars of national advancement,” Aliyu stated.

Both DSS and FRSC leadership expressed their commitment to deepening collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service to promote the nation’s welfare.
