The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd), has approved the redeployment of eight senior officers, as a new Area Controller has been deployed to the Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) command.

According to a statement by Joseph Attah, the service Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Aremu Modupe Adeyanju, the PTML CAC, has now moved to the Customs headquarters as Acting Assistant Comptroller-General (Strategic Research & Policy), while Adetoye Francis from Adamawa/Taraba now takes charge of the PTML command, Lagos.

Other appointments in acting capacity include Deputy Comptroller, Agbara, Ojobo Michael, as Acting Area Controller, Ogun Command and Deputy Comptroller, Olumoh Kamaluddeen as Acting CAC, Adamawa/Taraba Command.

Officers redeployed include  Loko Yusuf from SR&P to Abia/Imo Command; Comptroller Ajiya Kashim  from Human Resources and Development to Customs Training College, Ikeja; Comptroller, Sani Madugu from Ogun Command to Enforcement, Headquarters and Deputy Comptroller, Dangaladima Sambo Khalid from SR&P to Presidential Task Force on Cross Border Movement.

The statement charged the affected officers to see their appointment and redeployment as opportunities to build on the gains of the on-going reforms for enhanced service delivery.
