DataPro, a leading risk-management and credit-rating firm, has introduced an AI-driven Know Your Customer (KYC) and background-verification platform to help banks, asset managers, and FinTechs detect risks earlier and strengthen defences against fraud and regulatory breaches.

The company said the new system moves verification from a largely reactive process to a proactive one, spotting red flags before they escalate into costly financial or compliance problems.

According to DataPro, legacy verification methods leave organisations vulnerable to fraudulent transactions, identity manipulation, inaccurate customer records, and regulatory violations, all of which carry financial and reputational costs.

Built to deliver faster, more reliable results without sacrificing thoroughness, the AI-enabled solution speeds up analysis and improves decision-making by processing verification data more efficiently.

DataPro emphasized that speed and accuracy are increasingly vital as financial institutions and digital platforms onboard customers and partners at scale. With more than 30 years in risk and verification services, DataPro said the technology complements its existing vetting expertise rather than replacing it.

The company noted that robust KYC goes beyond simple identity checks and must evaluate credibility, history, and potential risks of both individuals and corporate entities.

It argued that early risk identification reduces exposure to fraud, bolsters compliance frameworks, and protects reputations in a stricter regulatory environment.

It urged organisations to update traditional verification practices and adopt smarter, intelligence-driven tools that provide timely, comprehensive information.

Positioning the platform as a strategic response to an evolving risk landscape, DataPro said its aim is to empower clients to identify risks earlier, make better-informed decisions, and operate with greater confidence.
