The Federal Government has announced the date for the resumption of domestic flights in the country following the easing of the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus Disease.
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Sirika said the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos will resume domestic operations on July 8, 2020, while the airports in Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri will come alive on July 11, 2020.
Other airports, according to Sirika, well reopen on July 15, 2020.
On international flights, the Minister said Nigerians should await further information.
Sirika tweeted: “I am glad to announce that Abuja & Lagos airports will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020.
“Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri & Maiduguri to resume on the 11th.
“Other airports on the 15th.
“Date for international to be announced in due course.
