DPR Collaborates With Lagos State To Develop Oil And Gas Roadmap

Image result for The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR,The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, has offered to collaborate with Lagos state government to develop a roadmap for development of oil and gas in the state.

TThis partnership assurance was given by Mr. Wole Akinyosoye, DPR Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos during a courtesy visit to DPR by the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and mineral Resources, Mr. Olawale Oluwo.  

 Akinyosoye, who represented the Director of Petroleum Resources, stated that DPR as a responsible corporate citizen was ready to work with the State government to realize its aspirations for the oil and gas industry.

He promised to ensure DPR’s total cooperation and collaboration on all areas regarding the oil and gas sector with the State government. And reiterated that this was the beginning of a long-lasting relationship between DPR and Lagos State Government.

The Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Oluwo on his part re-emphasized that the purpose of his visit was to seek areas of cooperation and partner with DPR on all oil and gas matters as it affects the state, especially in the area of regulation for safety.

He stated that Lagos State government had identified various areas of the oil sector from Upstream, Midstream to Downstream as areas of interest for investment.

The DPR promised to set up a committee in conjunction with the State to further examine areas of cooperation for the overall interest of the Nigerian economy.
