The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN has urged the Aviation Agencies to initiate quality control procedures to strengthen controls over Jet A1.

The managing director of the agency, Engr Saleh Dunoma who stated  this in his keynote address at the 2015 Annual public lecture organised by the Aeronautical Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) also commended the engineers for contributing positively to the development of the Aviation sector.

Dunoma advocated strict adherence to the Public Procurement Act so as to safeguard the integrity of the profession.

He said the topic is apt as it stimulated robust debate by the participants.

The Guest Speaker at the occasion, Engr Emeka Ezeh, FNSE, Director General of Bureau of Public Procurement BPP spoke on the topic “Procurement; Avoiding and Navigating through the Iceberg”.

Engr. Ezeh who was represented by a Director from the Bureau implored strict adherence to provisions in the Public Procurement Act.

He charged Engineers to checkmate corrupt tendencies that could hamper the integrity of the process.

Earlier in their separate remarks,  the chairman of the occasion, Prince Adelusi Adeluyi, the hosts Eng Ademola Olurunfemi and Grp Capt John Obakpolor all task engineers to live up to the ethics of the profession.

The managing director of FAAN, Engr Saleh Dunoma was later presented with an award.
