The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Anambra has reported serious road crash as it warns motorists to observe road traffic regulations.
According to RC Kamal Musa, Ag. Public Education Officer of the Command, “At about 1530 hrs today 17th August, 2020, a serious road Traffic Crash involving one Blue Tipper(911) with vehicle Registration number AGU158XA and a Yellow Mitsubishi bus with registration number ASL09YQ was recorded along Awka-Onitsha road just opposite Tomato Market,Upper Iweka, Onitsha.”
According to eyewitnesses, the crash was due to excessive Speeding by the tipper driver. Four(4) people were involved; 3 Male Adults and a Female Adult.
Only one person, (a male adult) sustained an injury and no death was recorded.
The FRSC operatives from Upper Iweka Outpost were on ground ensuring free flow of traffic while the vehicles were handed over to In-land Police Station ,Awka Road for further investigations and the victim taken to a nearby Hospital.
