FRSC Says Two Injured In A Lone Crash In Onitsha

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, in Anambra have reported an accident that occurred in Onitsha.

The Commission in a statement said, “At about 0830hrs this morning 11th, December, 2020, two people got injured in a  lone serious crash involving a red mark Truck belonging to Chukwuemeka fleet with registration number  KTE 497 XA recorded near OGBO Ochanja in  Onitsha along Upper Iweka main Market road.”

According to eyewitnesses a total of two male adults the driver and motor boy who were on board sustained varying degree of injuries and were rushed to an undisclosed hospital before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from Upper Iweka Outpost who are on ground to ensure free flow of traffic while the obstruction is being cleared.

The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State Corps Commander Andrew Kumapayi wished the injured victims quick recovery and admonished motorists to embark on regular maintenance of vehicles and ensure that their vehicles meet up with the minimum safety requirements  before putting it on the highways.
