The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Command, Andrew Kumapayi, has ordered withdrawal of personnel from township operations.

Kumapayi gave the warning, weekend, during a supervisory visit to RS5.34 Ihiala Unit and RS5.32 Nnewi Unit, respectively, to access the level of damage caused by hoodlums during the EndSARS protests.

Mr Kumapayi, who also supervised the ongoing renovation at Nnewi Command building complex vandalized by the hoodlums, courtesy of Chief Innocent Chukwuma Ifediaso, and Hon Chris Emeka Azubuogu, called on the operatives to concentrate on expressways.

According to him, “You should concentrate on the expressways, except on special cases of rescue, clearing of obstruction or traffic control. Find a lasting solution to the incessant crashes and gridlocks experienced along critical corridors, especially during the yuletide. The ATMA and Ocha Brigade are there to ensure sanity within townships, except for occasions”.

He also warned the operatives to eschew bribery in their dealings, stating that, FRSC does not condone such ill act and will not hesitate to punish any defaulter caught in the act.

The acting sector education officer of the command, RC Kamal Musa, also said that the sector commander  urged the operatives not to relent, but show high-level commitment, civility to the motoring public and dedication in the discharge of their duties to achieve the corps’ mandates
