..508 Persons Deported In Last Six Months
Joseph Bakare
The Federal Government, has said that about 508 Nigerians have been sent home by Ghana in the last six months.
Government said about 994 of Nigerians have already been deported from Ghana.
No reason was given for the action but figures show that 508 of them were deported within the last six months, while 486 were repatriated in 2018.
Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Diaspora Affairs, Abike Dabiri-Erewa made the disclosure while meeting a Nigerian professor, Augustine Nwagbara, who was sacked by the University of Education, Winneba, for incitement.
She warned of dire consequences if its nationals are shabbily treated in Ghana and on the African continent.
She said, “It will not go down well on the continent if Nigeria decides to do what they do to Nigerians over there. We demand respect.
“If a Nigerian commits a crime, you should deal with that particular person rather than generalize issues by punishing those who are innocent of the crime.”

I don’t know this sudden denigration of our country’s name is coming from.
People in the Nigerian government are deliberately orchestrating malicious lies about Ghana.
I’m a fully fledged Ghanaian and almost all my friends here in Accra are Nigerians. We live in peace, we don’t generalize anything like she’s insinuating.
Please stop this already, it’s so not cool.
Don’t worry it is their habit to generalize everything. Instead of focusing in building better and sustainable economy they are busy in dividing Africans.Change your attitude stop focusing on negatives things especially when it comes to South Africa.
